Walking - Short strolls to long hikes; start a walk straight from the hut or visit one of the many paths in the area including the Cleveland Way, Lyke Wake Walk, Roseberry Topping, Farndale daffodil walk. bilsdale.org.uk lists numerous local walks. We will be happy to drop off or pick up at local walking points.
Biking - Bikes are available to hire at Sutton Bank National park centre with a 3 mile circuit.
Fishing is available at a small lake.
Swimming and leisure facilities at Stokesley leisure centre and an outdoor pool at Helmsley during summer.
Riding at Bilsdale riding centre and pony trekking.
Market towns Stokesley and Helmsley are both approximately 10 miles away. Both have many shops, pubs and eateries.
Chop Gate has a pub and restaurant. There are numerous cafés, pubs restaurants and takeaways in nearby villages.
